Not too long ago, I was stuck in the all-too-familiar cycle of weight gain, exhaustion, and hormonal chaos.
Like many mums, I faced health issues that seemed impossible to untangle—hormonal imbalances, stubborn belly fat, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), leaky gut, and Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). Doctors advised food diaries, contraceptive pills to control hormones and metabolic boosters, but none of it worked for me. in fact it made it all worse.
After every pregnancy and breastfeeding, I felt like my body went backward, and no matter what I tried, I couldn’t shift the weight. I was overwhelmed, frustrated, and ready to give up. I hit a wall, and that’s when I knew I had to start listening to my gut, both literally and figuratively.
I realized that for me, cutting out grains, dairy, and sugar was the key to turning things around. I’d been told it before but hadn’t had the discipline to follow through. Along with detoxing my diet, I focused on eating nutrient-dense, wholesome foods and incorporated support supplements that targeted my specific issues, like gut health and hormonal balance.
It wasn’t an overnight fix. Between the hormonal imbalances and PCOS, my progress was slow, but steady. Over time, I started to feel more energized, my digestion improved, and the stubborn weight I couldn’t budge finally began to shift. The biggest change? I felt in control of my health again.
Today, I’m on the other side of that battle and feeling stronger than ever. And I’m passionate about helping other mums who are struggling with the same issues.
